FROM A DREAM TO TODAY
The association reminisces about the days when a group of university students, fond of halay, horon, and tea, warmed themselves with conversation and friendship in the cold of Ankara. One of the places that brought us together during our student years at Beytepe campus was the Biology Society. The idea for this association began to sprout in that room. And, of course, it grew during our endless conversations filled with laughter. Today, however, it is time for these young researchers to get to work.
We began to build this foundation in September 2016 to think, research, produce together, and perhaps, most importantly, to be together, dream more, laugh, and have fun.
OUR PRINCIPLES
To conduct research on existing and potential ecological issues and to develop solutions.
To promote the prevalence of life shaped by harmonious and ecological processes in alignment with nature.
To engage in open knowledge sharing and transfer by recognizing that knowledge production is neither independent nor superior to other production areas, and to conduct all these processes interactively.
To be open to collaboration and/or support with entities that share principles and values, working together in line with these principles.
OUR MISSION
Building on the above principles, our goals are to:
Generate scientific knowledge for nature, society, and our own curiosity,
Ensure that the produced knowledge leaves a mark on the world,
Work towards understanding, preserving, and ensuring the future of beings within the biosphere,
Regulate production and consumption relationships for the envisioned life within nature.
To complement what each other cannot do and ensure the rehabilitation of ourselves and our environment in this process,
To work to prevent the monopolization of knowledge and ensure its sharing as open-source,
To promote the understanding that nature is the only true ground and contribute to making it a cultural norm.
